......since I posted any pics. Thought you guys might like this.....I sure did! Had a spot a few weeks ago where the coyotes were clearly coming in between two silage bunks. Problem: the silage was 1-2 feet deep at the shallowest and there was no way to dig a dirt hole....in fact, I was even worried about my cable stakes biting into the relatively loose material below the piled silage. Solution?: Pipe sets....albeit a little different than how I do them in the sod. I left the pipe out a little more than normal to account for wind and drifting, dry silage. I put four Pipe Dreams in a row on the approach....baited with stink and a little teaser piece of wool blowing in the wind. The results: You can actually see the top of the pipe with the chain touching it in that last pic........ The remakes ended up being more of a Pipe/Walk Thru.....but they worked nontheless: Just showing how one can adapt to a certain situation and take the target animal on their own terms..... Fun place to pull into everyday....they certainly are not ALL like that! It was "Time to Pay the Piper"!!! Zagman

Cool. Had a farm once where a farm hand told me that the canines where running the silage banks, asked the owner if it would be OK to set up around them....told me no, as he "enjoyed watching the fox run up and down them banks". Thanks for sharing Mark, nice pics, great looking yotes.

Killer pics of a killer spot dude.
And Dale's 22 in 10...wow...goldmines.
I always had a nickname for those kind of goldmines on my line. I call that a Dairy of Distinction.

Very nice Mr Zaggers ! If you don't mind me asking what made you decide to set up between the feed piles? I can't imagine they were leaving a lot of tracks in the silage, unless there was a fair amount of mud at both ends of the piles showing sign?? And how do you adjust to snagging 9 Yotes in one location and not have 3" deep mud catch circles? Must be real drag making dry remakes.lol But no matter how it all came about its very impressive. Thanks for sharing Charlie

Thanks for sharing Charlie Well, there was a trail beaten down into the silage about 8 inches wide....and yes, it was "golf balled" with tracks in the mud before and aftermin the silage.... The owner didn't mind me putting them right on the bullseye, so I did...... I think that's the point of the post...this is an unusual, non-conventional, micro location that I adapted to........... I like my lure to call coyotes about 5 inches if I can! MZ

How can/do you bed traps solid in loose silage? I would think the trap would wiggle and tip while bedded in such loose material.
