I have a dirt auger and want to buy a drill to drive it. What is the best out there for power and battery life? I use my ryobi now but it only makes a few sets and it's dead.

I've used a Ridgid for approx. the last 5 years
works well for me...about 25-30 holes per battery
held up well and was reasonably priced

I use a Dewalt 18.5V and it does a swell job,I use it to dig my trap beds and dirt holes. It has 2 batteries and just keep them charged and it will go a long time.

i tried the cordless drill route and the dead batteries got old fast so i picked up a large brace from a garage sale for five bucks .No more dead batteries and half the weight and so much cheaper ..
