Hello everyone I am taking up trapping this year and need some help . I will be taking my course in two weeks and want to get outfitted . I have hunted my whole life so I only need trapping equip . I live in northern broome county and want to target coyotes fox and coons . I seem to have a lot . I have been looking at the bridger # 2 bet it said online that they are 6 inchs and I think new york only allows 5.75 inside . Is this true and if so what traps should I buy . Also what other stuff do I need .
Thanks to all

Bridger#2 is legal for NY. the 6" measurement is outside jaw size. I would suggest getting them with outside laminations to reduce foot damage, especially on Fox. The Fox in my avatar is wearing one. Hope this helps. Good luck this season. Doug

I've been using the Bridger#2's and KB550's, both traps work very well for coyote and Fox. This season I am adding a dozen MB550's. Just starting out you will do well with the Bridger's, great price and a nice strong trap. JMO and I'm sure there will be many more opinion.
