Want to try to go for a week hunting bobcats in Maine this coming winter. Any recommendations? Guides? Lodges?

Just curious, why go all the way to Maine for that?

I cannot recommend guides or lodges but if you have never hunted bobcats there are a few things you may want to consider. An accurate firearm and load that won't tear up the pelt would be high on my list - a good patterned shotgun with appropriate choke or maybe a .17 WSM, .17 HMR or even .22 mag. Their season begins in December, so it will likely be cold to very cold and warm clothes and the ability to use snowshoes will be important. They do not allow night hunting, nor hunting on Sundays, so that really cuts down opportunities if you ask me. Best bet for success is likely with a guide with hounds - looks like the going rate is in the area of $2000 for a week of hunting. I'll bet those hound hunts are exciting. Life is short, so if you can swing it then have fun, but for that kind of money I would be tempted to get a good electronic caller and spend a week or two at a local motel hunting evenings and nights on state land in Rennselaer, Washington or Schoharie counties. Good luck.

Check out Laney Guide service. Never hunted with him but have met him several times and seems like a great guy.Hes known for his cat hounds and does well every year. Hes a trapper also and makes some really nice catches especially beaver.

Brushwolf64 is giving you good advice. Paul Laney has a website that explains his business. He is also an excellent trapper. If I were looking to hire a cat hunting guide he would probably be my first call.
