Spent a few more hours visiting with John at the Hospital Wednesday and He is still in High Spirits, and is continuing to Improve.
Keep those Prayers Coming.

Thank you all for your thoughts, concerns, prayers, cards, phone calls, visits at the hospital, and the company I've had here at home already. I was very lucky as this could have been much worse. I was checking traps for nuisance beavers in northern NY when this happened. I waited longer than I should have before going to the hospital, because in my mind, I had to finish checking traps first. God was looking out for me as I am recovering well and hope to regain 100% of the use of my left arm and hand. I lost complete use of them on July 4th from this stroke. Yesterday I set an almost new Belisle #330 just to prove to myself that I could. That was much easier than typing this is right now. I've gone from typing 70+ words a minute down to about ten. When this left hand will work better typing I'll tell a bit more of this story in hope that it may help someone else see the need to get medical attention sooner than I did.

I have two awesome families, Dale, those that are actually blood related and trappers - there's nothing better. I'm sure we will meet someday and I'll look forward to that.

looking good in that video, John... you can still set those big ones faster than I can, fair warning to all northern-zone beavers out there

Glad to hear you're doing better John! Stubborn trapper huh? I can see many of us doing the same - "I'll fix this when I'm done checking traps". Godspeed in your recovery John.

Mac - That was exactly my thoughts. Maybe not the smartest of thoughts, but the work had to be done first. I also sat on the side of the road for over an hour talking with one of the NYSTA Directors about some important issues between a couple of those beaver sites.
Don't know for sure about the NTA Eric. Want to, but......................
I'm out of work and no driving until both the neurologist team and the cardio team clear me.
Thanks again to all of you!
