Looking to purchase your skulls. Particularly looking for bobcat, fisher, beaver, red and gray fox, and coyote or anything odd. I will pay fair prices and shipping. I will pick up if you are local. PM me with what you have and for prices. Only whole raw skulls please, nothing in peices.

Hi, please educate me as i havnt a clue. I have seen skulls for sale/trade on here and the brown site in the past. How are they being used?? By whom?? Is this common for most trappers to save the raw skulls of the year?? Any special storage needed other than a breadbag and freezer space?
Just curious, thanks for any responses. Carson

Carson, I have a skull cleaning business where I use dermestid beetled to create European skull mounts for hunters. This keeps the beetled fed for the winter. I buy raw skulls from trappers and fur buyers to use as food for the beetles the rest of the year. Once the skulls are clean I degrease them and whiten them. I then sell them to artisians, collectors, or anyone who wants them.

How about posting a price list here on this thread so we can check out your prices versus the competitive skull market.
Let us know what you are paying for each of New York State's 14 fur bearers along with any exotics you may be interested in.
Thanks in advance for this information.

Kirkwooder, I have lots of coon skulls right now. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can work a deal. As for 22 holes make it hard to resell them and a pain to try and put back together.
Walleyed, prices are as follows: Coyote $4, bobcat $4, beaver $3, Otter $3, Fox(red and Gray) $4, fisher $4, martin $3, Coon $2, muskrat $1, weasel $0.50, skunk $2, grinners $1. These are all prices that I have purchased skulls at from fur buyer in the last 2 weeks.
silentnight, I am half way between Fulton and Phoenix.
Thanks
