Ive gotten 2 coyotes and 3 fox that all have birdock. Most of it was just one or two here or there which was easy enough with a cheap brush from the pet store. But one of the fox has a ton on its tail. Just massive clumps all up and down it and I can't seem to make any headway on them. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to speed up the removal process that would be awesome!

I soak the pelts in cold water and a cheap fabric softener, then carefully brush it out with a dog brush. The fabric softener and water seems to soften the birdock and make it a little easier to remove. just a half ounce of softener to a gallon of water.

Even just getting the burdock thoroughly soaked through with plain water will really make it easier to get out. It is sometimes a real job, that's why the fox didn't do it.

Awesome! Thanks a bunch! Now I can get this last fox put up! (I'd post photos but for some reason I can't with my phone!)

I spray the area with hair detangler and let it soak a few minutes then brush out.
