OK, so I re-read what you wrote and it doesn't look like you're very clear on what you mean by someone "thieving" your rats... do you mean that someone is actually stealing rats from your legally set traps? IF so, then I leave my above reply to stand. But if you mean that they're trapping the same lands as you and that their catches are what you believed should've been yours, welllll..... I'm not at all so sure I'd agree with that being called theft unless you've got exclusive permission or it's actually your own land. Depending on your answer, I may have (as usual) jumped the gun on writing that. Yup, somethin sounds a little fishy here.

Nice to see a variety of muskrat size-especially if you catch some smaller rats-usually means they are breeding twice in a season!!!Keep up the great work-just curious are you catching the rats in creeks ,ponds or swamps? Thanks Mike b

Those are some good sized rats for ditch rats-must have good feed!!!Keep it up!!The snapped bottom edge, was it a 110?Curious because the last mink i caught was a small female and was caught by back hip only!!!I believe it was an older weaker trap

It was a 159 bridger on a kb stabilizer .. I set it with trigger down stream like an idiot so spring wasn't on wall and like clockwork the mink must have got thru and caught trigger as it went free .... I know better to set the trigger upstream but I didn't like how it sat but guess I learned the hard way again ... I got some new sets out today in spots I always say I'm gonna set but don't so guess we will see .. good luck Mike

I was lead to believe 3 litters a year is the norm and first litter rats could have a litter the summer they were born.

Mike she was probly moving pretty quickly when she hit the trap And probably came from opposite side of the trigger ... my mink usually are traveling upstream

Well today was less exciting just two rats today minus the grinners ...I had another sprung today and it was a a 159 again , they are not mink traps for sure 2 days in a row different spots sprungs on bottom edge sets ... they will mess up one of these days but nice thing is its getting cold so no more grinners and the canines will be hungry. .. good luck fellas
