Yeah no fun, at least its not still out there spreading it around ! I just have to keep reminding myself that as it stings quite a bit but if u zoom in you can see on its front leg no hair and its back is really thin ! Really depressing : (

I noticed all the guard hairs were missing in the midsection. Didn't even notice the front leg. Boy that sucks!

Unfortunately this is the type of thing that the anti's completely miss, because it doesn't fit their agenda. You took a diseased animal - one capable of spreading mange over a great distance for a very long time - out of the population and ended the threat that it posed. I know it's a major downer for you, but you've done a great service to improving the overall health of everything else out there. I'm sorry it was you, I almost wish it had been a trap thief who got it!

Lol tmc that's a much brighter outlook, I realize now it was for the better and it not being able to spread it around is more important than anything else! No matter how diapointing it may be, it comes down to understanding our harvest and its importance as a whole ! Thanks for the kind words !

That cat does't look to be a total loss to me either. I would still put it up and send it to the sale and see what it brings. It may just be that you not only removed a diseased animal from the wild, but also provided a valuable commodity to the economy. One that will be used and enjoyed for many years to come!

Unfortunately kirk its to late I had to many people say it was mange, and I was told by the person who buys my fur to dispose of it so that what I did! Stung slot but I did not want to take any chances of spreading it around!

Maybe it was a mistake but with the info I had at the time, it was my best course of action.: (
