Made this cat/grey fox set today. Was passing by and saw the tree laying there eand figured any cat coming by should check out the area for mice. So I made the cubby and baited it with a duch. I also spread some feathers around. I have it being garded by a MB650.

That's the biggest problem with those cubbies, you spend an hour building them and a critter spends just a few seconds taring it apart. Well worth the effort, if it connects. Good luck, it looks great!

I believe it is if you get the inside laminated one ! You can always ask a dealer to measure it

Yes, the 650's are legal in NY with inside lamanation it is. Great trap. I also have it in a drag with 10' of chain pre-hooked to the tree. Hopfully 1 - I connect & 2- it get's wraped up away from the cubby. A couple things about the 650's incase anyone is considering them Up-side,, 1) it's a well built trap and ready to use right out of the box.Built like a tank. 2) easy to bed 3) will hold anything that I may come across with out a problem. 4) Big pan. Down-side 1)Expensive 2) Tough to set ( for me anyway's) without the setting tool which I have. 3) You have to put your fingers inbetween the jaw's to set it. Both jaws are locked down by the trigger system. The MB750 has the same trigger system and I got myself bit by one of them. I did not have the setting tool. Overall it's great trap. The only this I did was add JC Conners's shock springs to them. I picked up a couple 2 coil MB550's this year at the convention to try out this year So far I like them also. We'll see how the season goes with them.

Well no catch so far but, I did have some activity. The first night something got in there and ate part of the duck and left the rest of it right there in the cubby. No tracks were found at all and it was a rainy night. On today's check I found that the duck is gone and again no tracks. I did notch the side of the cubby looked like some of the sticks were out of place. I re-baited & rebuilt it and made it a little tighter & added some more roof to it so whatever it is should have to go under the roof and over the pan. We'll see what happens in the morning.
