youtu.be/v9Dm0Rm17dAHave permission on a small swamp and have been scouting. Finding sign of Beaver, Muskrat, Mink and Coon. Have never caught a Beaver so hoping this season I will. Made a castor mound set, minus trap.

Also have video of Raccoon sniffing and pawing the mound, so I'll be setting a few DP's in the area Saturday morning.

Red, Get yourself a 5 gallon bucket with a good tight fitting lid and keep it in the trunk. They work great for transporting skunk carcass's. I also keep a plastic tote in the back of my wives suv for road kill, but the lid really doesn't seal tight enough for skunk stink.

Cool video! Was the castor on that stick that the beaver was mouthing. I usually use a Q-Tip and most of the time when I have a catch it appears that all the castor has been licked off of the Q-Tip. I've also caught a few coons at my castor mound sets.
Redneck: I've had luck with Night Owl's Ground Castor, Dobbin's Backbreaker, and my own concoction of ground castor, glycerin, and a couple drops of poplar bud oil.

Yes castor is on the stick, that's what I used to put it on the mound then stuck it in the mud behind the mound. It was Backbreaker that I used. Also used some Ontario in another location and had a Beaver on that one, no video of that though.
