I just bought a cheap Harbor freight cordless 1/2" drive for making dirt holes. It was on sale and add in the coupon I got it for $38.00.

I've ruined a couple of name brand drills on the trap line. They seem to take a real beating bouncing around in the box on the back of my atv. I switched to an old fashioned bit and brace. I found mine at a flea market for just a few bucks, and never have to worry about a dead battery. I also have a piece of 1" steel pipe that I drive into the ground and then pull out. It leaves the perfect mouse sized hole.

Cordless drill works good for me on remakes . I use a 20v dewalt hammer drill. Digging bait holes in fresh ground with cordless drill of any brand would be hard on the drill and batts.

20v Dewalt and a dollar store 2" auger, works for digging trap bed and hole.
