Should I be tainting my muskrat meat for mink bait or do it fresh? Thanks Josh. And what is the best way to preserve muskrat glands.

Dear Friend, best mink baits 1st muskrat guts,2nd salted or fairly fresh fish, 3rd 1/2 mink carcass, 4th beaver meat, muskrat meat.....i dont use much bait early in the season as most mink arent interested. As it gets colder and winter sets in those big buck mink will leave the woods and head to watersheds. Mink being greedy by nature, will, during the winter investigate tainted baits. Muskrat glands can be preserved with pickling salt, sodium benzoate, methyl paraben or 100 proof vodka.....Regards
