Hi Trapper friends. I want to bring you up-to-date about the Pat Arnold Youth Trapping Camps. Rushford is doing very good with applications and well on its way to another great camp. Rotary Camp (east) has moved to Pack Forest, Warrensburg. Hopefully this will improve attendance. and a brand new camp in St. Lawrence County to be called Camp Mandaville after the name of the location. It is 2 miles west of Hopkinton and 12 miles east of Potsdam. All camps will be the same week-end with the same program. Tim Strough will be the administer of all camps and I will do enrollment, and what ever else I can to make these camps successful and fun. We will need more mentors. We hope this new camp will close the gap in the northern counties. All camps are open to anyone 12 to 14 and we hope transportation will be relieved for the northern youth. Tim's email is Strough@frontier.com I have not resigned from active camp but know my health curtails the administration part but I will still answer questions and send and receive applications as well as the camp fees and donations. For those of you who would like to give equipment, we would be appreciative.
The kids need all of us more than ever.

Hi Everyone, as Pat mentioned Camp Rotary is moving north to Pack Forest in Warrensburg. This is a great place to have a camp. Hopefully there will be more fur. I'm looking for more mentors, maybe some Adirondack trappers. Am also looking for kitchen help and a nurse or EMT. More kids would be great!!! Feel free to shoot me an email( itrapfisher@yahoo.com ). Thanks for your time. Tom DeLisle

This issue of Trappers Post (page 68) has a letter from one of our campers. He has said exactly what he liked about the camp. Perhaps this will encourage more of you to participate with getting the word out, donations of equipment, money or some hands on time spent sharing your knowledge, enthusiasm and love of the outdoors. Camp Pack Forest can handle more campers and mentors. Camp Rushford needs more mentors, and is nearly full. Camp Mandaville is on the edge of full.
We are excited for these camps and so thankful for any help, physical or monetary. Any short fall to pay our bills will come out of NYSTA already strained budget. They have not complained, they are happy to have this ,my gift to the youth of NY, as a part of their organization. I am happy to be the "burr under the blanket" to get it started.
Tim Strough will have a table for information at the convention. We don't know where yet but do look for us. Stop and talk to us just to give us your support, no matter what it is.
There will be a meeting for current and wannabe mentors at noon under the pavilion. Mentors will meet each other and their camp director. Thanks Pat

This is getting close to the Youth Trappers camp opening dates and both Rushford and Mandaville are full. Pack forest has openings yet and we can still use mentors.
Thanks for your donations and any other support. Pat
