Dear Friend, I would recommend pickling/canning salt or borax. Place some salt or borax in a large (gallon) zip lock bag, add a few chunks of your meat at a time and shake well to get a good coating, then spread out your coated meat chunks on a piece of screen for 2 or 3 days to allow it to set/firm up.............during very cold weather vodka will serve well as an antifreeze and give lift to the baits odor. About a 1/3 vodka to volume of bait. Regards

Dear Friend, If you have salted/pickled and dried the meat as described above, simpley jug it up, and place the jug on its side and roll it back and forth until the juice mixes throughout the meat. Repeat every couple of days until it is absorbed by the salted meat. Regards
