Her insurance company has to be contacted and pushed for the right ride.......initially, they told me NO and rented me a little clown car.
I called my buddies at Enterprise who go through this all the time.....and they said I needed to call the other party's insurance company (which you have to do anyhow to verify the accident info they have) to tell them you need a truck for your livelihood. A car wont do.
They should do it. My truck was not nearly as bad as yours and it was in the shop for three weeks.
Also, when on the phone with them, they will ask you if you are OK physically.....say NO! They are recording it!
I will tell you that when I got in my accident, the other party's insurance was Geico.......I cannot begin to tell you start to finish how impressed I was with their overall customer service and the handling of my claim.
The shop they used called me DAILY with updates on the White Rhino's progress....to the point where I told them to stop calling me!
My truck has never been cleaner! Funny, when I got rear-ended, about 500 pounds of mud fell out of the bottom of my truck......
The cop asked me if one of us was carrying a load of topsoil?
Even funnier, the shop fixing my truck called me and refused to work on it due to the mud and blood in the back.......they told me to come and get it and clean it.
I told them to pound salt.....last I checked, I got hit, not my fault. Call Geico and have them handled it.
They did, and charged Geico $500 for cleanup, including two parking spaces and the inside of the shop where all the mud kept falling off from the undercarriage.
Good luck!

Bob, you are obviously hurt more than stoic old trappers want to admit to themselves. Just worry about your health and welfare overall... the insurance stuff will sort itself out. Everything zagman shared is 200% correct, as usual from him. Everyone who asks, even if they sound real concerned and sympathetic gets the same answer: you are hurting bad, especially your head and spinal column. Keep that fact in mind when speaking with ANYBODY from either insurance company or medical: head and spine hurts, injuries exist. Worst-case scenario I'll come up there with my 1999 Z-71 and cart you around on the line in style. 226,000+ miles, as much rust as paint and interior smells like aged fox urine and stale wet dog. It'll spoil ya. You'll love it
