well as i had just woke up this morning i got a call from Von.
Von lost his fur shed last night to fire he lost all trapping equipment along with his guns and all his hunting equipment and furs . von is great trapper and a great freind to alot of us and need our support in a time of need .Iknow alot of guys on here talk to Von on the phone all the time so please give him a jingle and help our buddy in this tough time . My prayers are with ya brother.

Hi All. just got back from Von's. He is doing as well as can be expected. It appears to have been electrical in origin.
Unfortunately, he has lost almost all of his trapping gear! Along with all his fur, stretchers, lure, urine, tools, etc. He is overwhelmed at the response he has gotten from those here on the forum. He said he didn't know he had this many friends! "I must have touched a lot of people" he said to me while choking up.
Hang in there, Von, with friends like you have here, all is not lost!

I am sorry to hear that my friend.
Most of you won't know this, but, Von is a member of a countryside forum here in the UK and it was him that asked me over to this site for which I am eternally grateful. I have recieved many emails, pictures, PM's, help and advice from this guy who not only is into his trapping, but also into helping others in a big way. From here I can't do much but anything you ask for is yours Von.
This is Vons Christmas present from me as a thank you for being such a great guy - it's an engraving on his own tankard for those buckets of blue he likes so much.
